Local and Wild Comes to Wimbledon

We can't wait to welcome you to The Black Lamb, our newest Local and Wild restaurant, nestled in the heart of Wimbledon Village.


The Gladwin Brothers are bringing the best of the English countryside and coast to the neighbourhood with our sixth venture.  Like the infamous residents of Wimbledon Common, Local and Wild is all about making good use of the things that we find, producing delicious dishes from seasonal and foraged produce. Wandering free like Wombles, but in true Gladwin style, our hunter gatherer approach to cooking allows us to work with what’s available and really showcase the best of British produce  so our guests can truly ‘eat the seasons.’


We'll be proudly pouring a range of award-winning English from our vineyard, Nutbourne, which follows the philosophy of "what grows together, goes together". For wine aficionados, The Black Lamb's Little Black Book (LBB) from behind the bar will offer special one-off vintages and bin-ends so be sure to ask your server what’s available to sip that day. Richard and Oliver’s passion for wine will see them partner with The Wimbledon Wine School, offering WSET courses and regular tasting classes and events. These will take place in the private dining room, a perfect space for those looking for a more intimate affair or to celebrate a special occasion, seating 22 guests set under a large skylight. 


The Black Lamb is an all-day bistro restaurant, perfect for quick eats over lunch or a special dinner with friends and family. For those who prefer to eat less meat, we'll serve our ‘Plant-led’ set lunch menu during the week, using plants as the star of the dish, accompanied by any wild, foraged or menu off-cuts available to elevate it further. Throughout the weekend, when the village becomes a real hub for the community, our brunch and Sunday roasts will be a ritual for adults, kids and four legged friends alike. With family at core of what we do, it was important for us to develop a menu that caters to all sizes so everyone can join in the fun.
