Neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Wimbledon Village cooking with British produce and pouring English wines
The Black Lamb is an all-day restaurant, perfect for quick eats over lunch or a special dinner with friends and family. For those who prefer to eat less meat, we serve our ‘Plant-led’ set lunch menu during the week with dishes such as Courgette spaghetti, mint, lemon, chilli, burnt tahini and Summer vegetable ratatouille, crispy confit lamb, minted yoghurt. We use plants as the star of the dish and then accompany with any wild, foraged or menu off-cuts available to elevate it further. Throughout the weekend, when the village becomes a real hub for the community, our brunch and Sunday roasts are now a ritual to adults, kids and four legged friends alike. With family at core of what we do, it was important for us to develop a menu that caters to all sizes so everyone can join in the fun.

Just a short walk from Wimbledon station and Wimbledon Common, The Black Lamb is the perfect spot to break up an afternoon stroll across the Common or refuel from a morning of shopping.
Located just off Wimbledon High St, The Black Lamb’s window fronted façade is the perfect viewing spot to observe the hustle and bustle of the village and soak up its charm over a glass of wine or coffee. We’re open throughout the week for small plates and wine, the perfect way to break up the daily grind. As you enter the dining room, you can perch below the globe lighting at the wood-panelled bar on while you peruse the menu and settle in. The dining space is dotted with wooden dining tables and striking green and white striped banquette seating that lines the room. Playful artwork by family friend Nick Selby and Julia Stubbs adorns the walls, featuring herds of lamb getting up to no good.
Along with the dining room buzz, guests can enjoy live oyster shucking from the marble-topped central bar, where AAA Maldon oysters will be available all day. Expect dishes such as Beef Wellington, using high-welfare rare breed beef supplied by the Gladwins’ own West Sussex farm, along with ‘By Catch’ fish specials – species subject to what’s been delivered off the boats that day. If you’re in the market for a light bite, our popular Mushroom Marmite Éclairs remain a signature snack across our sites, alongside seasonal changing small bites such as Montgomery Cheddar Puffs and Smoked mackerel cornetto, dill powder, cucumber gel.
